Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 May 2026.
Plain-English summary
You sign up, you install the snippet on your website, we capture leads from your forms and show them to you in your dashboard. You pay monthly. Either side can cancel any time. We try our best to keep it running; we don't promise it's perfect, and our liability is capped at what you paid us.
Who we are
Lead Source is operated by the entity behind leadsource.co. References to "we", "us", and "Lead Source" mean that operator. "You" means the account holder (the website owner who signed up).
What you can do with Lead Source
Subject to these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Lead Source for the duration of your active subscription:
- Install the tracking snippet on websites that you own or have explicit authorisation to modify.
- Capture, view, search, export, and delete leads collected from those sites.
- Invite team members to access the same account.
What you agree not to do
- Install the snippet on a website you don't own or have explicit authorisation for.
- Use Lead Source to collect data you don't have a lawful basis to collect (e.g. capture leads where the visitor hasn't been informed via your site's privacy notice).
- Resell or white-label Lead Source without a separate written agreement with us.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any closed-source component.
- Use Lead Source to send unsolicited bulk email to the leads you collect (we are not an outbound email tool).
- Do anything illegal, harmful, deceptive, or that would reasonably bring Lead Source into disrepute.
Plans and payment
Lead Source offers a free tier (capped at 50 leads per 28-day window) and paid tiers. Current plans and prices live at https://app.leadsource.co/pricing. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
Quota. If you exceed your plan's monthly lead quota, new leads continue to be captured but are "locked" in your dashboard until you upgrade. You'll see them appear with PII redacted and an upgrade prompt; once you upgrade, they unlock and stay visible.
Failed payment. If a payment fails, your account enters a 14-day grace period during which the service keeps running. If you don't update your payment method by the end of grace, your account is automatically downgraded to the free tier and over-quota leads lock again.
Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable after the day they're charged. If something genuinely went wrong on our end (we billed you while the service was down), email billing@leadsource.co and we'll sort it.
Cancellation
You can cancel any time from https://app.leadsource.co/billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep service through what you've already paid for. After cancellation we retain your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently delete it.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms in a serious or repeated way. We'll always email you first when there's a meaningful path to resolve the issue.
Your data
You retain ownership of every lead captured through your account. We hold the data on your behalf as a processor; the details are in our Privacy Policy. You can export everything as CSV at any time.
You're responsible for telling visitors of your sites that you're collecting their information — typically via your site's privacy notice. Lead Source does not display a cookie banner on your behalf.
Service level
We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime, measured against the /api/capture
endpoint (the one your visitors hit). We don't currently offer a
contractual SLA with credits; if you need one, email
sales@leadsource.co.
Site-health alert emails are sent on a best-effort basis; we don't guarantee delivery within any specific timeframe.
Liability
Lead Source is provided "as is". We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond what's described in our marketing and product pages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Lead Source is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (gross negligence, wilful misconduct, etc.).
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when our service or pricing changes materially. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We'll email active customers at least 14 days before any material change takes effect; continuing to use Lead Source after that means you accept the change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Lead Source is operated. Disputes are heard in that jurisdiction's courts. (Specific jurisdiction will be confirmed once Lead Source's operating entity is finalised — please email legal@leadsource.co if this matters for your purchasing decision.)
